Hi all,

Just spotted this "Jetson Bolt Pro" folding electric bike for $329.99 at my local Costco. Would seem to be ideal for destination cruisers - and that price is *far* lower than anything I have seen elsewhere that folds and is electric. Curious if anybody else saw this and tried it?

I'm thinking it's a low risk purchase - as typically Costco vets stuff pretty good so that really cheap cr*p gets weeded out.

That would be fun to ride on Catalina! My daughter is in her third year at Cal Poly SLO has a E-Bike that we picked up for her last winter break. I think the whole family took that thing for a spin around the neighborhood and we even did a 30 mile ride on the Santa Ana river trail one weekend. I say go for it.

Costco has a return policy that can't be beat... I tried the smaller bike and at 6'1" I found it too small for me.

I see that only the handle bars fold down? I don’t see any seam in the frame. I must be missing something........

No that is right the only folding feature is the handle bar post. Too small for me too. I’d like to find a mid sized one for the boat but am just looking for the right place to stow it

My daughter has one of those to ride from parking to her med school. Likes it, gets the job done. The only downside, as mentioned is only handlebars fold.

Consider an electric scooter? Easier to store and decent range. My neighbor works in DC, takes one on the train to work then uses it from train to office.

I have two of the Jetson electric scooters, rated to carry 280 lbs, 15mph, up to 10 miles, fold flat and store one under the aft bench. I'm 230, get it to 12mph on flat ground (anything faster is twitchy), haven't taken it over 2 miles in one trip. They're great! Use it mostly for going between the boat and truck at ramps as I often have to park a 1/2 mile or so away, perfect for that.

Recently, I arrived at the dock at the same time as another fellow, he started walking to get his truck, I put a few things away, broke out the scooter zipped to the truck and beat home back, as I was loading the boat his wife told him to "get a scooter like that guy", guess she was tired of waiting :)

At 41 pounds a pair would be heavy to lug on and off a boat. Costco price is great, MSRP is $599.99.
