ISSUE ONE: Has anyone installed a flat screen in the ice container space behind the Captain's chair? Sea Ray in Florida has no plans. T. V.'s were  not offered that year for that model. S.R. says you can do it if you feel comfortable about it. Has anyone done it? If so, please advise how?
ISSUE TWO: The rubber backing on the carpet which covers the engine hatch has deteriorated and continues to flake. Carpet itself fine. Any suggestions on a repair to the rubber backing? Anyone have this problem and do a good fix, short of replacing the whole thing? The other two pieces are perfect. :smt017

Thanks very much

Just get new carpet - snapincarpet.com is a great source with good quality or a local canvas place.

My carpet was doing the same. Throw it away and get new.
Snapin did a great job for me.

jjssas...I do not have a 410...but I have been in a couple at our marina, and they had the flat screen tv mounted above the wet bar sink on the port side. Mounting on the port side allows all in the u-shaped cockpit seating to view the tv.

In reguards to the carpet problem, a few friends of mine have been buying a 1/4" thick closed cell foam and spray adhesive from a local foam supplier. The foam comes in 2 ft wide rolls. They lay several rolls out next to each other on the ground and lay there carpet on top of it and trace the pattern out. They then cut the foam about 1/2" shy of the permiter of the carpet. Then spray the foam with the adhesive and press the carpet in place. So far it has worked fine. I will be doing the same soon. Total cost was about $35 - $ 40.

The web site is www.foambymail.com if you cant find a local supplier. They are located in Michigan and it looks like they will ship out orders. Good Luck!
