I am putting one coat of Mequires Flagship on today (2007 white hull). Finish still looks new. I usually use woody wax, but this year (due to high recommendations from threads here) I am switching.....It will be put on with an orbital and taken off by hand (normal process for me).......I would like to put one more coat on this year just to see difference.....Should I add a second coat of the Mequires Flagship or put something else on....Should second coat be by hand or orbital....Thanks

Thr second coat can be applied by hand a lot easier than using the orbital. That's what I do with mine. And yes I recommend you do put on a second coat.

The only reason I use an orbital at all is the first coat cleans the finish and removes the water spots (since Flagship has cleaner in it) and it is much easier to get a nice smooth finish with the polisher than doing it by hand. But once you buff out that first coat, you can take a micro-fiber or cotton pad and put that second coat on in record time. On my hull (below the rub rail) it only takes about a half hour to put on the second coat by hand and buff it off. Use as little polish as you can on the hand coat. A thin layer always gives better results and since this is a polymer polish it actualy layers (or builds up) the protection.
