I and a few friends went fishing out of Tarpon Springs last Tuesday May 17th. We knew the weather would get rough in the afternoon but was manageable. We had a great time but I lost my anchor at the last stop. 35lbs anchor and 50ft of chain gone.

We were still able to cruise 17 knts in the video. Not bad for rough seas and 30knt winds. Boat felt very safe and never felt we were in danger. Thank God for the lower helm cause it was very wet up top. Covered the upper helm and cruised in the a/c using radar the whole way back.

Is your Radar set to not scan the rear 90 degrees? That's a crotch full of radiation on the bridge otherwise...

I don't run the radar when I am up top. The prior owner mounted it on the front of the bridge due to a low bridge in his area. The arch folds in half too but I have never folded the arch. I am going to move the radar up top where it belongs but haven't yet. It's on the list but need an anchor first.

Your friends sound like squealing school girls. :smt089:smt089:smt089 My 280DA would have handled that slop with no problems.
