Fishflys

We already have them at St Clair shores... and just as many of the little bugs.... it was not this bad up at Belle Maer...

Based on your pic, it looks like you had a chance to enjoy some Lake Erie Midges/Muffleheads? They were late this year, so just as they're winding down, we'll go right into fishfly season. Ugh.

That pic was at Crews Nest this past memorial day weekend... there were very few bugs of any kind.

I was 300' behind you. I got hit with Muffleheads one night when I left the cockpit open. Not as bad as at Cedar Point, but it wasn't a good way to start the day. (and I knew better)

I'd take a week of fish flies vs. the month of midge flies we always had in Mackinaw City.

I was at Beacon Cove last night till about 8:30 and it wasn't to bad, maybe 12 on the swim platform and a few on the canvas. I bet it was just a tiny taste of what am going to see Friday night when I go back for the weekend. I have both the batteries for the WORX blower all charged up and ready....

They were terrible at Belle Maer last weekend...worst I've seen in my seven years there. They weren't bad at Club Island last night but we'll see how the rest of the weekend pans out as the heat rises.

I bought one of these cordless blowers this weekend.. The battery in integral... I am a big Stihl fan. It worked really well to blow the fish flys off and I used it after washing the boat to dry where the water pools since the sun doesn't seem to be doing its job lately..
