I want to use a fish zinc to add protection for my outdrives. The fish comes with a cable and clip to connect to the boat grounding system. I am not familiar with anything about the boat's grounding system. Does anyone know what would be the best place to attach the clip to for the negative ground? Other than the battery (which would be very unfriendly) I am looking for something outside the engine area in the stern area of the boat to make it easy to attach and de-attach.

Thanks

I've seen people do exactly as you are planning. They put a post inside an electrical connection box. The post was attached to the ground.

The choice of the box is dependent upon how much you want to spend on the project.

The end result certainly made the use of the fish easier and more tidy.
