Took ownership of a 1991 Sundancer 350 last month and now I’m gathering information about winterizing. Lots of great information on this site. Let me summarize what I know so far for folks to comment on:
1. Engines
3. A/C - Heat pump
4. Missing anything?
Thanks,
Tom
1. Engines
- Fill gas tanks, add stabilizer
- Run until warm, close fuel supply and fog engine (I use Marvel Mystery oil poured into carburetor).
- Change coolant
- Drain muffler canister? – how’s this done?
- Does heat exchanger get drained? How?
- Remove raw-water impeller
- Drain raw-water supply, hoses, strainers, heat exchanger? – how’s this done?
- Clean and lubricate as required
- Change oil
- Missing anything???
- Drain water tank, faucets, head, etc. Blow-out?
- Pump-out waste tank
- Bypass water heater and drain – add any antifreezer?
- Add pink antifreeze to fresh water tank – how much?
- Run faucets (hot and cold) until solid pink
- Add additional antifreeze to head, flush – should antifreeze be added to waste holding tank?
- Ice maker – mine does not work, so I will disconnect hose from solenoid and drain until pink
- Missing anything?
3. A/C - Heat pump
- Blow-out through water outlet with compressor
- Pump in antifreeze
- Close seacock?
- Missing anything?
4. Missing anything?
Thanks,
Tom
