First trip to the Bahamas

Great photos and gorgeous boat. Love the pic of you two on the bow in the crystal clear water. It looks like the boat is on a lift. Grats on the first trip with her. Here’s to many more!
I love the pic of the back of the boat with the name and home base already on it when you picked it up from Florida. Following your adventures in awe. Congratulations.

Thanks,
It was a great trip and one that I would love to repeat some time in the future when we have more time

So, you boaters that make the Bimini run on a regular basis, how would that run be in a 280DA with twin 4.3 Alphas and 100 gallon tank?

Bad idea?
Piece of cake?

The answer is both depending on the weather. If seas are fairly flat.... It will be an easy run with your boat. Plenty of 26-30’ range center consoles make the run. Difficult to do during the winter months with prevailing easterly winds. Distance is approx. 45 miles from Hallover inlet.

Summer time and you should be fine... We go May - Sept and it is usually glassy.

I have seen pontoon boats from Miami tied up at Big Game Club. They might not have thought through their return, though. However, that particular week was a mill pond. Caught a 450 Blue off the concrete ship in flat calm water. The return trip to Stuart was like crossing a lake. June.
