Hi guys,

Just picked up my 4th boat, a 2000 270DA. Really excited about what we are gonna use it for. This is my first cruiser. My last/current (it's for sale now) boat was a Baja 232 so I am moving over from offshore performance type boating. I already miss the sound of the open exhaust lol, but my gf and I are going to start doing overnight and such which I think will be really great and we can't really do even if I had moved to a bigger performance boat.

I don't have a truck to pull it with so for now it's going to be in a slip in a local lake. Probably going to trade my trailblazer in for a 3/4 ton diesel this winter so I can tow it around. You can see from the pic that it's not a fancy slip, haha. Here in North Louisiana we don't have much in the way of "nice" lakes so marina's are sparse.

I really like the boat. It has the single 7.4MPI with 590 hours. Has all the options like vaccuflush, AC, camper canvas, windlass, etc. Has the receipts and paperwork from where a previous owner installed a genset in 2008, water heater replaced in 2008 too. Has some neat addons like a Fuelman gauge, chartplotter, auto tab system.

Got it on Saturday, played around with it on Sunday, so far the only issues I've found that need attention are both batteries being worthless and the cathodes were pretty worn so I am going to have to go swimming and replace those soon.

But glad to be aboard and looking forward to some cruising.

Welcome to CSR!
Congrats on the purchase. Make sure you get the right anodes for the water your boat will be sitting in. I'm assuming you have the Bravo 3 out drive, so I'll suggest you install them sooner rather than later. Again, welcome to CSR!
