Help please I have read all the posts about polishing and waxing and which products to use and there are so many different opinions on polishes and waxes to use. I have light oxidation on my boat and it just doesnt shine like it should, so I bought me the Harbor Freight polisher that was recommended on here and this will be my first time doing this so what do you guys recommend I use that will be the best for a first timer 3m, Meguiars etc...? Thanks

If you read my thread "Polishing before and after" you will see I used a mix of 3M and Meguiars. There is tons of great advice there with great product and methods. I think the best product is "L-bo-Greez"(hard to find it along with "Tyme") and just doing it. Now that I have the heavy oxidation gone, I have been satisfied with Meguiar's 67. I have a bottle of Meguiar's 49 I haven't tried yet. A mix of the 67 on the Makita wheel and Starbrite polish with PTEF on the Porter Cable random orbital has been very nice.
These are from about a month ago. I'm still not done yet.

Thanks for the tip on the 67 I got a bottle and was very impressed with the first go around, now I just need to hit her again to get her where I want her!

If you want, you're more than welcome to swing by & I'll show you how to make her shine again. It's not hard once you know what to do. Shoot me a PM if you're interested. Scott

Edit: Todd that's a straight on shot of a white hull......great job!

Her's a pic of our '05 SD that I took last year.

That is beautiful! I'd almost be afraid to put that shiny thing in the water........ Almost. Wish I could get my 79 to shine like that!

Thanks for the offer Scott, but I am very pleased with the results I got and it was not near as hard as I thought it would be. By the way your boat looks awesome!
