First time Boater - 185 Sport

Hello all,

I have been lurking this site for a little bit now when I was looking into getting into a Sea Ray and I learned a lot through this site and the posts so thanks.

I just purchased a 2007 Sea Ray 185 Sport, took it out today after work up and down the channel to get a feel for her. Ready for the weekend now!

also add another bumper, so its sits on them and not the dock edge. I really like the color:thumbsup: enjoy!

Agreed. Tighten the top, add another fender, and get that stern pulled in a bit.

All kidding aside ... great boat, welcome, and have fun! This is our first season too and we are having the time of our lives thus far!

I went to west Marine and bought a couple of new fenders, the one in the picture was the only one that came with the boat.

Also picked up a cover for it and of course washing supplies.

Spent a good 4 hours cleaning it after yesterday's adventure, what a good feeling when it's all clean.

Trying to take it slow out there until I get a feel for the way it handles, if anyone has a suggested depth finder I would appreciate any suggestions, we have a bunch of random sand bars down here.

We had may fun years on a 2005, it's a great boat. Check the engine info, if you have the 6ci, it would be a 4.3L

Yes, 4.3L...my mistake.

Engine is more then enough, I was surprised how fast it getty up and goes!

I am just happy I got it now so I can get some practice in before the season opens up to a very crowded bay area!
