2007 Sea Ray Sundancer 240
Engines
5.0 liter Mercruiser V8 Motor w/ Mercruiser Bravo 3 duo prop Outdrive
I am very glad to have found this forum for Sea Ray boats, and look forward to finding other Sea Ray owners in my area.

I have been looking to get a boat for a while, and someone in my area has a 2007 Sea Ray Sundancer 240 with 480 hrs on motor (Mercruiser V8 5.0 with 260 HP).
I don't know anything about boats, and I am looking for recommendations on things to look at while testing it.
Also, I read that Sea Ray Sundancers boats are discontinued. Is that an issue to get parts, or are they still available and fairly easy to find?
By the way, what's a decent price range for boat like that. Again, I don't know much and just want to make sure I am paying fair price. It comes with a trailer as well.

Any info will help.

Thanks in advance,
Alex.

Price is not bad depending on condition. I have heard that the 240is a very weird riding boat as far as the planing and trim tabbing and all that it was in an earlier thread if I can find the post I will forward it to you. I'm not saying this by experience and it's just something that I read on here in a thread not too long ago I have a 215 2006 and I absolutely love it

Parts are not an issue. Most all of the parts we have on our boats are used on every other brand of boat.

If you're curious about pricing I'd recommend you look at boattrader.com and see what the current lot of 240's is listed at. That'll give you an idea of where the market is, ish.

If you don’t know anything about boats, GET A SURVEY.
It’ll be the best money you spend.

Wasn't there a thread not too long ago where someone said the 240 was so bad he would rather have a Bayliner. He said it handled real bad . Must have been a troll
