We just bought a 2006 Sundancer 280. It is a big jump from our Sting Ray 180 RX, but we are excited for weekend trips on the Chesapeake. It's great to have access to all the knowledge on these forum pages. See you out there.

Welcome to CSR.

Nice looking boat and thanks for posting a photo in your first posting. We all like to see pics of people's boats, where they go boating, and the family and friends on board.

Beautiful boat!! Why did you go with the 280 over other sizes??

Great looking boat. (I guess she's getting a new name, love the black sharpie effect covering over the name on the transom in the pic)

Now THATS how you make a grand entrance into CSR! Nice job SaltyRay. Humble, equipped with photos and hungry for knowledge

Very nice! Congrats Many years ago i was told, Buy a boat as big as you can afford, Then go a little bigger!! And you will save a lot of money in between. :D lol

Just bought a new to us 2005 260 Dancer. Rare (I've been told) green hull and factory bottom paint. Taking her out for the first time this Sunday. 2 brand new blue Optimas taking the trip with us and getting swapped (if I have time...or the gumption)!

Nice! How well have you transitioned to the 28’?
Well it's been a month or so of using it, and the boat is still floating! I'd say it has been a smooth transition overall. It took a little getting used to the twin engines and throttles. Whenever I dock I just keep saying "neutral is your friend," and I seem to be ok so far :)
