Hi All,
I'm the proud new owner of a 2011 Sundeck 240, w/Mercruiser 5.0 and Bravo III.

It runs great so far, about 510 hours on it, just had to put in an IAC valve (yes I got the one with the spring, not the Chevy version w/o). Good-bye beeping!

I'll be changing the worn zincs out for aluminum anodes this week and gear oil soon as I figure out what weight to use.

I'm putting a plan together to take the outdrive off for some maintenance when the weather cools (central Florida here ). The boats mainly been in saltwater most of its life, so I was told it's a good idea to replace the bellows seal. Are there any other items that I should hit up for preventative maintenance while I have the outdrive off?

Last question for now: The trim gauge always shows UP, like all the way up. the drive trims up and down just fine, but it would be nice to make the gauge work again. The previous owner said there was a frayed wire somewhere? I'm not sure where? Can anyone advise? I've seen a lot of articles on the sender going bad, but I don't think that's my issue since the trim does work. Thanks in advance.

If you are going to replace the bellows, do it all while you are in there

U joint bellows
Shift cable and bellows
Oil hose
Trim limit and trim sender pucks
Inspect and replace the gimble bearing if needed
Check the water inlet hose for restriction

Do it all at once and your good for many years

Thanks Espos! I'll start shopping for those parts. Any idea on the trim gauge?

Bravo 3 - only use Mercury or Mercury Quicksilver High performance lower unit oil. It is not expensive and is the only gear oil that should ever be used in a B3.

And congratulations.
