Well i'm all in.
2003 200 Select.

Bought it, trailered it, fueled it up, washed it, launched it, docked it a couple of times, washed it again and parked it. What a grand day.

I have a couple of questions you all may be able to help with.

first, the blower motor started making progressively more noise as the afternoon wore on. It sounds like the fan might be hitting something. Any ideas before i tear into it?

Also, the boat has a heater, but it didn't seem to throw any heat out. The heater box under the bench seat was hot though. Again - any ideas before i tear into it?

Tomorrow, i grease it up and see if i can squeeze it into my 6'8" high garage door opening. Good times.

I'll get some pics on my profile in the next couple of days. We plan to name her this weekend.

Did you leave it on the whole time? You don't need to do that. Run it a few minutes before start up and while at idle speed but other than that you don't need it on.

Congratulations on the boat. You are going to love it!

Congrats,

I'm sure you'll love the boat. Sounds just like mine. The blowers are cheap and mine is near failing, moans like a whore. Check to make sure something isn't stuck in it. Mine had a paper receipt stuck in it that made alot of noise. Post some pics and power package information on your info page.

Best,

Widowmaker

One other thing. I've had mine in a single car garage, barely. You'll have to unhook it from the truck, and wheel it in using the front wheeled jack lowered all the way down. Check the floor slope and use wheel chocks, trust me that's real important. You may need to prop the garage door up a bit to get her in. Go real slow because that windshield is expensive!

Congrats on the new boat. You and I are in the same club....new boat owners experiencing the joys of first time boat owners. As I have been told over and over, we have picked a brand of boat that ranks among the top in all categories. Wish I could help with the questions, but I am learning as well.

Thanks everyone. What a great community.

i didn't try to squeeze her into the garage yet; i have to get my twin 700 Mountain Max Yamaha sleds on the big galvanized drive on/off trailer out of there first; i don't know where the hell to put all this stuff. I've got a two car garage and two cars and neither have ever been in there.

Hey Widowmaker. My boat looks JUST like yours. Is yours a Select? Maybe I bought what I thought was a Select and isn't. Do you know what the difference is?

Pics this weekend.... weather permitting.

Your 200 is a Select. The term Bowrider is a general term used to describe those boats with an open front bow. In Sea Ray's line up of sport boats, there are two bow rider models, the Select series and the Sundeck series.

Welcome Aboard  . Post some pics of your boat in the virtual marina :smt024 .

When you say heater, are you talking about a bilge heater?
