twin 6.2 Mercruiser w/Bravo III Drives
Hi Everyone,
I just purchased a 2005 280 with twin 5.0 and Bravo III drives. My previous boats have all been fishing-style until my wife "explained" to me how selfish it is to not own a family boat. Now I don't know how I lived without the comforts of a SeaRay. CSR has been fantastic for a newbie like me to learn about these great boats. Thanks for all the input.

Congrats! I just purchased the same boat except with the 4.3/Alphas. Some times I wish I had the v8's, but "it is what it is"... Lol Enjoy!

Welcome to the cruising boating style. You'll love it. I'm sure 280DA will provide enough comforts to cruise and fish.

See you on the bay. Good luck with her,
Alex.

You will love it. We got ours TOO late in August and the little we used it really enjoyed our time on it. The fall came way too fast and the winter is going to be way too long.

It is a very well made boat with most conveniences you will require.

Welcome aboard. You will love the comfort with your new boat and especially with the family. Some say that boating is like THE NEVER ENDING STORY. Good luck!!

Haha, same here...does anywone ever complain about too much power?! :smt001

Congrats on the boat! I too just purchased mine not even a month ago. First cruiser.

Fishing...I've been afraid to ask in that I may get banned from the 280 club. But since it's been mentioned...anyone install rod holders anywhere?

I think the counter complaint to "too little power" is "poor mileage."

Pole holders may be exceptable but draw the line on out and down riggers.:smt009:smt009
