I had a 1998 18 ft Bayliner with a force 90 hp out board. In the shop more than the driveway and cost more to fix it so could sell it than I paid for it LOL. God was an idiot

So are you replacing it with a Sea Ray? When I was looking for my first boat, that brand was off the table from the get go. Same with Rinker and Tahoe. Buy a Sea Ray. Enjoy the community here and we’ll help you fix anything that comes up.

I've been on here for a year I have a '06 Sea Ray 215 weekender with a 5 l MPI with 400 hours on it very very clean boat

I had a Sea-Doo jet boat then I had an 18-ft Larson bowrider and then jumped up to the 22 ft cutty cabin which I absolutely love

The only thing I knew about a boat was they had big block Chevys or big block Oldsmobiles a Berkeley pump and a circle racing hull and did about 95 mph that's all I knew before I bought a boat was a jet boat old school 73 74 Rogers circle racing hull

Our first boat was a 15' bayliner with a 85 horse force, she was a good 1st boat, went to a 18' wellcraft. went several years without a boat when the kids got older, then got a 27' pontoon when the grands got big enough, then moved on to our sea ray.

I was a kid, so technically my Dad's boat, but we had a home made wooden skiff with a 9.5 Johnson that I ran around in (had to be 14 to run a boat over 10hp on the lake where we had our cabin) and jet ski's weren't even a thing, so all the kids ran around in little 12' boats with 10hp motors. "Big" boats were a 16' Glastron with a Johnson 115 and my grandfather'
s 1945 Chris Craft. The first boat that was really mine, bought with my $$ was the 2000 290DA. I still to this day can remember every detail and especially the smell of those wooden boats and 2 cycle motors. It's in my signature, but really at this point what I wouldn't do to somehow have that Chris Craft back - it was pristine, my grandfather's hobby was old wooden boats.

1st owned boat was a Sunfish that my cousins gave me when I was 8 or 9. I also ran around in a 10’, Lund I think, with a early 70’s, 4hp Merc. That was my Grandpa's. When I got in trouble on that, back to the Sunfish for the weekend.

My 2nd is the Weekender. Have had it for 11 years now. Was ready to sell it and buy my buddies Amberjack 270, but we moved on a lake and purchased a new dock and pontoon boat instead. The Weekender is for the cabin on Lake Superior now.

2005 215 w/ 5.0mpi & Bravo 3. Added a swim platform from Swimplatforms.com. Same boat as the 225 WE without the factory swim platform, wash down hose and faucet in the sink. We use the area where the water tank should be as storage.

I love the boat Ollie, is it easier to get on plane with tabs all the way down from an idle. I haven't played with them alot yet. Just trimmed motor all they way in and seem to plane fast with a ss stiletto 17 pitch. What do you think

Yep. the trim tabs and Bravo 3 work well for the hole shot. Then lift the drive once you hit cruising speed and raise the tabs just before porpoising.

I have an alpha Gen 2
