Need to get a Bimini trip in for June, preferably the first half. Any takers? Leave on Thursday or Friday and come back on Sunday

Edit - All booked second week in June 15-18 Bimini Bay Marina leaving out of Ft Lauderdale. Anyone wanting to join feel free.

Ahh same weekend as last year - that's with the fling group right.
It was pretty quiet last year which was nice, but it seems like now that everyone realizes we have the 3 day holiday weekend it will be much busier.
I may try for June 1st if weather cooperates. Later in the month gets too close to other travel for me.
Also - will be shooting for early August to make an Abacos run.

Yes the Flingers are going but I am not running it. That’s all a bunch of center consoles and staying at Big Game. I am going with another friend and plan to stay at Resorts World and relax. Test my new dinghy and just make sure the boat is ready for Exumas

Great trip, great weather until the return… Boat worked perfect except for a ball valve for the water maker. Got some cleaning to do and 2 weeks to go back for the Exumas trip…

I'm glad you made it back safe and sound. The weather just didn't cooperate by us. I didn't even take the boat out the whole weekend. Hopefully your ride back wasn't too bumpy. But, it looked like yesterday was better than forecasted, which was all over the place.

Thanks Alex, yes it was flat going over but nautical coming back. We waited until the rain stopped and then made a run for it. was solid 3 foot until just past the gulfstream then it flattened out so not too bad

Good to hear. So nice to have that change of scenery.
Dodging T-storms here all weekend. Hopefully these tropics die off quickly.

What's your typical cruise speed when crossing?

Was last across the ditch in 2001.

Been up and down the FL west coast from Tarpon Springs to Key West.

Florida Loop next month, but will likely be 1-2 weeks behind your Bimini crossing.

Building on good solid experiences before doing the 2024 Bimini jump !

BEST !

going over flat I ran at 22 knots, coming back I started at 14 and then 17 for a bit then finally 22

I'd stay with you at 17 but wouldn't be able to keep up after that. That's my sweet spot!

Wow, a trip to Bimini in June sounds like an absolute blast! The second week sounds perfect for a getaway. The Bimini Bay Marina offers such a picturesque setting, and departing from Ft. Lauderdale makes it even more convenient. I'm sure it'll be an unforgettable experience! For anyone looking to join the adventure, this could be an amazing opportunity.
