Fire at Watch Hill Marina, Fire Island NY

Very high tide last night, here’s ocean beach around 6:30 last night.

UPDATE
I was at Watch Hill yesterday and they had two tents set up in the back of the Cornhole game were they are making a dinning area as well as a temp kitchen, They said they hope to have a food truck there this week and will be there until they rebuild the restaurant. They said it is going to take at least two years to rebuild the restaurant.

I’m here now. One of the best days of the summer.

The tents are still set up, BBQ this afternoon and evening, steaks, corn on the cob, happy hour drinks all day, about 20 boats here now.

If you are local and don’t have any plans..........

Nice! Supposed to be a fantastic weekend.
Unfortunately we couldn’t get away today.
No slip for me again at Sailors Haven this weekend unless I take the corner garbage barge slip. Did that once last year and wouldn’t do it again. Tried to get in for one night (tomorrow morning - Sunday morning).
No luck at Seaview either.
Called Atlantique and the Dockmaster told me there should be no problem for a non resident tomorrow and they’ve got plenty of slips that will accommodate my beam so probably heading there in the morning.

Its always been up to the dock master on weekends. They are usually packed with residents over the weekend. Now that its its shoulder season you're more likely to find available space.
