Finished the swim platform

I took the handle and underbrace and move it to the right side using the same screws over but filling every hole I drilled with silicone. I coated the back of the braces and the screw with silicone as well. You just can use to much of the stuff. I wasn't thinking about duplicating the platform so I didn't keep track of the hardware sizes as I should have. I'll go down to the shop tomorrow and see is I can get you the assorted screw sizes.

No need to do that, I was just curious if you reused the old screws. I was thinking about going up a size when I do mine, thinking the originals might not be big enough. Besides, it looks like I'm wrenching on the !@#$%* Trailblazer tommorrow.:smt013

Bummer but I know the feeling. My son and I have been jumping up and down on the thing and it is stronger than the original shorty deck. Another tip, the boards have wood grain only on one side so make sure all your visible pieces are grain out. I'm going to buy another board when I get back from a business trip next week and add some finishing pieces. I'll attach the pictures when I'm done and you can add the mods to yours if you like.

There is a great link that Pietro attached. I would think about using the ready made L braces as they look great compared to mine. Just make sure they are 112 degrees otherwise the deck won't set straight. Also the under mounted step would be great though a bit pricey. The only reason I used mine is because I already had it.

Bill, NICE! I like the innovation and agree that the UNDER deck ladder would save some scuffed toes! Very good innovation!

Just wanted to give an update on the swim platform I made. It has held up beautifully and I am very happy with the size and position of it. Check out Chrissrv195 for a variation of the deck.

Sorry for the weeds being in the way. I was getting ready to put her under wraps for the winter.
