Finding small parts annoying!

Just bought a 400 Sundancer 1997 with twin 3116 CT DIESELS. The surveyor found that some knucklehead lost the original fuel cap and replaced it with one labeled "GAS"! I don't want a fuelie making a mistake and putting gas in a diesel engine. Any idea where I can get a new fuel cap labeled "DIESEL"? Even a used one!?

Google Perko fuel cap, Sea Dog fuel cap or Sierra fuel cap. Should be able to find something from one of those.

It’s called a deck fill cap. You just need to know if it’s 1 1/2” or 2”.

Measure your fill first, but that is most likely the one you need.

Based on my research those "GAS" fill caps add 35hp each, minimum. They are hell on the resale value though.
