Finally upgrading my stereo

Last weekend I got the old Clarion head unit and remote pulled out and got my new Boss head unit mounted. I hope to get it wired in this weekend and then it's time to install the new speakers. I'm going with Boss MGR350B head unit and Boss MRGB65 speakers.

Has anyone installed speakers with LEDs? Will I need to run a separate ground and power wire? Also if anyone is needing a stock replacement head unit or remote I have mine listed here https://www.ebay.com/itm/Clarion-Ma...457620?hash=item4d70a6be14:g:5yMAAOSwlspavO7V

Added your eBay listing to my watch list. The radio/speakers in my 1994 200 OVOB were shot when I bought it last year. I looked at the dash mounted radios myself, but I do not have any free gauge holes and I'm leery of drilling out a new one.

Yes, LEDs need thier own 12V ground and switched B+. its a complete separate circuit from the speaker.

If I have to run a seperate power and ground I might not hook up the lights right away.

Might as well do it while you're at it and be done with. I find if I put something like that off, it will never get done.

I do get that but I have family coming from out of town and I have promised them a day out on the boat so I have to get it back together soon than later.

I need help I just purchased a 2007 Sea Ray 230 select. When I got it home the lower unit wouldn't lower or raise nor would the dash controls work i.e. horn, bilge etc. the boat does turn over and the gauges on the instrument panel all work.

can anyone help me with this. then you.
