Well after the fun and adventure with our blown motor we are up and running again. The dealer we bought it from has been working with their sister dealer on the lake we slip our boat at. They left the boat in the water for the 4th so we could enjoy the holiday and then pulled her out on the 5th. They ordered the motor on the 3rd and had it there on the 6th. They pulled it and went through everything while they had it apart. They had to wait for one gasket which was supposed to arrive on Friday the 13th(how ironic) around noon. We arrived at our marina at 6pm and our boat was sitting there as promised ready to go. She ran great as we were able to make a couple of easy runs and get the 5 hours of break in out of the way. Because we bought it 7 years old there was no warrenty on the motor. Total bill including labor, new motor and additional parts was just under $6500. They nocked off around $800 and then split the bill 50-50. Our cost was around $2800 and they did it in one week during the middle of their busy time and the wife was working last weekend so we were not going to be using it anyways.
