Nice looking boat, Rex!

If I may, just be sure to put your drive up when you tow:smt001

Yah I just brought it in for service b/c it wouldn't go up any further than that with the button on the throttle stick unless I missed something.

Did you push the button all the way in? The "up" button has two detents. The first one only takes it up so far - keeps it in a safe operating range. Push it in harder and it will take it all the way up.

I take it you don't have the transom-mounted tilt switch? From the pic, I can see something back there on the stbd side, but that's usually where the second stereo remote is.

Interesting. Thanks for that. And no there isn't another transom switch that I am aware of.

There should be a "trailer" button that you need to push to lift drive beyond the range of trim that should use when driving the boat. The throttle switch keeps the drive from going too high when you are driving. (protects that universal joint inside the bellows)

Page 36 of your owners manual:

You'd know it if you had it. It's a black, almost square thing mounted at the transom (in easy reach when the boat is on the trailer and you are on the ground) and has an up/down push button on it. It's about 3" square.

By the way, did you buy it from a dealer? They should have given you a thorough orientation. Shame on them if they didn't.

I'm unaware of a "trailer" button?

See my post #5 about pushing all the way in.

Unless your throttle handle is square/rectangular - the part where you put your hand? If it is square, then you also have a square "trailer up" button further down on the stick. If the top of your throttle handle is rounded, then again, see post #5.

Yah I think it is rounded. I have the service people checking on this now..

Thanks again!

Just an update. That was the problem. Now she trim's up all the way! Thanks.

I have an older (1978) searay with 3 buttons on the dash. Im not sure if the trim system works as it should. I notice to lower the drive I push the bottom button, and to raise it I push the "up" button but it doesnt go up all the way. Only when I push the two TOP buttons does it raise enught to trailer it. Am I missing something? Also, should the drive be all the way down when underway? A detailed explanation would be very usefull. Thank you.
Billy & Kelly.
