I have a Waeco refrigerator and freezer on my boat. Both bulbs are burned out. The only markings on the bulb is 12V3W. Has any one else had to replace these bulbs? They seem very difficult to find. I emailed Waeco, and I got a reply from AER supply with a part number. AER supply recommended I contact Lakewood Yacht Service. I contacted them today and the have 1 in stock, but I need 2. They said if they had to order more from the company, there would be extra shipping....for a 3.00 bulb.

I have been to a couple of auto part store and they do not have any 3 watt bulbs....why are these bulbs so hard to find? Any one else have a source for these bulbs?

Jeff, I bought a couple from the auto parts store, I think they might have been 5 or 10 watts, I can't really remember, but they're only burning when the door is open.

try ebay as well, I have been replacing all of my festoon bulbs, as well as the regular bulbs with led replacements. best thing for festoon is to measure the size, you can usually do +/- 4 mm

Mark...do you happen to recall the bulb number you used? I found a bulb 6418 that is the same length, but a slight largter diameter and is 5 watts.

Jeff, I don't recall, it was a couple of years ago, but I don't remember it being larger in diameter, seemed like it was the same size, just more watts. We were at the yard this morning painting the bottom, I should have looked.

Jeff, I took a look saturday while at the boat, the bulb is a 10 watt, and it looks as though a slightly larger diameter would be fine, so that 5 watt should do nicely.
take care

Thanks Mark...I put in the bulb this weekend and it appears to work fine. There is plenty of room for the bulb. Thanks for checking.
