i need to buy a larger set of fenders.

my boat(220 select) came with the average size fenders but i want/need a set of real large ones.

should i get the
10.5"x30"
or
8.5x27

I'd say, get the biggest ones that you can still stow somewhere on the boat, so you don't have to trip over them till you get to the dock or raft up.

I agree to get the largest you can... have you seen the 10x32 ? I ordered some off Ebay ( larger than the 10 x 32) and .. welllll.. I didn't realize they were THAT large. (it was just one of those non thinking moments) They have come in to good use tho as I put those at our dock horizontaly and now I just snuggle the bow right in. :smt001

I would lean to 8's in your case. 10's are pretty large.

Might have to stop by the boat store today and take a look at these before i order them.

just don't want my boat to get scratched up this summer.

Ehaze,

You may want to measure the distance from your aft cleat to the waterline and purchase fenders slightly shorter than this measurement. Any larger and the law of diminishing returns may kick in. As others have pointed out storage would be a problem.
