The TV show Magnum PI debuted in 1980. I was 15 and enamored with the show. The whole concept of Magnum living the high life was a fantasy. Anyway, always loved the shows.
What was your favorite Magnum PI episode?
Mine was somewhere around season three when one of Magnum's buddy's was killed in his place. There was a Russian played by Bo Svenson who tortured Magnum, TC, and the buddy in Vietnam. Fast forward into the present, the buddy hops into Thomas' Ferrari 308 and yells lets go (someplace) and watch the sunrise. The very end of the show Magnum has his 1911 pointing directly at the Russian's face and asks "Did you see the sunrise?". The screen fades to black, a boom is heard, and the credits roll. That was some really dark shit for 1983.
As a side note, I stumbled onto Jack Carr about 3-4 years ago, he is an author and has six thrillers published. An Amazon series called the Terminal List debuted in 2022. Anyway, in each of his novels there is a Magnum PI Easter Egg. In his latest, he chases down a Russian in Italy in a much slower Ferrari 308 wearing NODs.
