Took a ride up the Hudson River this weekend, from lower Manhattan past Newburgh. Stayed over at Haverstraw Marina. Which was massive, and the restaurant was surprisingly good. Great weekend!
I don’t understand why others want to leave this city? Kidding,,,,,,,,, Thanks beautiful weather and photos
After 20+ years of commuting into the city every day, and then back for dinners, shows museums, clubs, etc. We haven't stepped foot into Manhattan since March. It's crazy. But the skyline is second to none...
Yeah I commuted for 29 years love the city but like you haven’t been in for a while Shame what they’re doing to it. Thanks again
Foliage just starting to change north of Haverstraw. Locals said it would be really good in 2weeks time. Have a great trip! FWIW, if you didn't know, the current in the Hudson is strong! Slowed me down 4-5mph all else being equal with almost no wind.
Really liked the pics. Those are shots I'll likely never see in my life so it's nice to be taken along for the ride on someone else's boat.
If you ever find yourself out on long island would be a pleasure to (socially distanced until c19 is over of course) have you out on the boat!
Looks like it was a great trip and love the pictures! We were recently throwing around the idea of going up to Kingston but that has been tabled for this year. -Kevin
Great pictures. Doing that trip this week leaving Thursday. Stops: Croton on Hudson 1 day Poughkeepsie 2 days Haverstraw 1 day then home
We have been told to head a bit further north to Kingston and head into the creek, that there is a bunch of restaurants, etc. @Kevin C. was just talking about it above. He should be able to add some venues. I would eat at the restaurant at the Safe Harbor Haverstraw again. Food was surprisingly good.
Thanks for the invitation. My admiral and I would enjoy the trip, the scenery, and mostly the company!
