I had to instances yesterday where the boat wouldn't start. First was just after we had finished swimming in an anchored area. I flipped the battery switch, turned the key and nothing. Then tried again and it started.

Second time was when I was getting ready to load the boat. Flipped the switch and nothing. Tried again and still nothing. Flipped the switch on and off and still nothing. Decided to flip the switch to the off position and try to crank it. Of course it wouldn't start but it did try to crank. Flipped the switch back and it started right up.

I'm thinking the switch may be bad or have a loose connection but wanted to check here first to see if anyone else had some suggestions.

Also, back at the house with water muffs it started up just fine.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like it was not quite in neutral. It may look like it, but sometimes it is not. Jiggle your shifter/throttle next time and see if that works.
