extending a factory radar arch 86 weekender

I have a 1986 268 weekender. I currently have the factory radar arch off and in peices to replace the rotten plywood inside of it. I would really like to extend the arch another foot. It would make folding the bimini tops alot easier. My thought was to cut the arch then add plywood and fiberglass over blending in the peice of plywood. That would be the easy part. Mine has a chrome strip front and rear that hides the seam. Does anyone know where to purchase this?

i would keep it all glass, find a body shop that has a lot of vettes outside theyll know what to do
