I just bought a 2010 370 Sundancer leftover and I was wondering if the dealer should have offered me the extended warrany, if there is one? If so, is it for all components including the Merc engines?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks-

I can't speak for the 370 specifically, but I bought a 2010 240 DA last year and the dealer encouraged the extended warranty. It extended my boats warranty to 7 years. It's also transferrable, so it will help with resell when I upgrade.

I was at my dealer two weekends ago looking at a 2008 350 (The 2010 370) and it had an extended warranty good for another 4 years.

I know the warranty covers much of the SeaRay components and some of the electronics. I don't remember to what extent it covers on the engine, but that is a question for your dealer.

One note, there is an extended warranty option that if you pay a little extra up front and never use the warranty, you get your money back!

**Our extended warranty was offered to us during the closing process.

Warranty coverage can vary. There are different packages, covering differing amounts of the boat.

Hello I bought a 2009 350 left over there is a extended warranty offered by merc that will cover dts and the engines for an additional 3 years it was quoted at around 2300 per engine to extend the coverage the horizons are warrantied for 4 years so you can ask to see how much the dealer will charge you I was told I have a year to put the warranty in play so im still thinking about it since my vessel view was just replaced and I had a dts faliur on last saturday so Im thinking it may be a good idea good luck cant hurt to ask

We bought a 2011 this year and the 5 year factory warranty was thrown in with the deal. Boat and motor/drive train included.

It's our understanding you can get the extended warranty as long as the orig factory warranty is still valid.

You can shop around for the extended warranty too in most states.
Dealer mark-up on the cost is over 100% so their is a lot of room for negotiation.

Ya only need to use it once for it to pay for itself.

Thats for shore had to have my plugs and wires changed because it was a left over and sat for a while $1300 just for plugs and wires glad that one was under warranty im not looking forward to tune ups lol and my DTS helm station was just replaced love the punch list on new boats lol

My boat came with a 4 year warranty from Mercury. I purchased the 3 year extended warranty (7 years total) and it has almost paid for itself in the first year alone. They have been very good with repairs. The engines and drives are your biggest concern. I'm glad I got it. Good luck! Brian
