    Nice video gold sponsor. smh
#1. Police dont get money from tickets we write.
#2. Traffic safety is a fuction of the police.
when jackwaggons say things like "is there a camera on that intersection" and "you're going to write that down" or "have a nice f***ing day", we usualy do write things down, on a ticket.
That being said, I would have stopped the other vehicle for passing on the right in the intersection. Hate to see people put on a show for ther dash cams. us "cops" wear body cams too and the show you put on for your dash cam shows justification for our quote of "sign here, press hard because there are 5 copies"

These people are obviosly better that anyone else, listen to them. I am second hand embarassed for them.

I don't understand your points? Another motorist made a dangerous and illegal maneuver while the office was supposedly watching the truck run a red light. The dashcam shows a green light the entire time - not even yellow.

I did say I would have stopped the other car. my point is the show they were putting on for their dash cam so they could post it on youtube, and the comments about the police officer and the gun and the overall quality of attitude of the video and occupants. Not sure about the color of the light with the glair of the camera. It is hard to tell on my display. I just think that mabe the officer was doing his duty and the people in the truck were over the top for their own youtube fame. The oficer was professional as far as I can tell and the video ended in the middle of the stop so I would venture to say the driver received a warning since that part of the video would not go along with the whole narrative the video poster was trying to convey.

Look, Its obvious I am a police officer, have been for 17 years. I am not trying to justify anything. I just get sick of stuff like this. Those people were setting a stage to trash that officer on their dash cam, weather the light was green red or yellow is not the point of their youtube sensation. it is a larger problem of society trying to set a scene of selfabsorbed entitement. I dont hear any disrespect or arogance coming from outside of that vehicle but there is plenty inside. Thats all I am trying to say.

+1 to Shay's comments. Been there, done that for many years but that was before the YouTube generation. These youtubers should all be members of the Screen Actor's Guild.

They didn't say 'have a nice f***ing day' to the officer, nothing disrespectful to him at all. When she asked him if he was writing down the intersection address, he said yes he would be and she said 'thank you'.

So asking those questions about the camera and intersection are enough to make you write a ticket? I'm surprised you'd admit to something like that.

Guys - I have nothing but respect for law enforcement - my only intent of this post was to point out the light was CLEARLY and entirely green, as well as the dangerous maneuver of the red jeep.......just didn't seem to be an explanation for the stop - yes, Tony seemed upset, but as Woody said, he didn't seem to be confrontational with the officer - If any members of law enforcement would like me to take the post down, just PM me - as I said, I'm not looking to come off as disrespectful of those that protect and serve......

You get part of my point, the youtube filming creds were only when the officer was not at the window.

The great thing about the infraction legal system is officer discression. If someone curses me or is an all around jerk, I can choose to write a ticket or not write a ticket. What I was saying is, that type of attitude will generally get you a ticket. On average I write tickets on about 3% of my stops.

Here is a twist. According to the gps on the dash cam and google maps, there is another traffic light approximately 200 feet behind the beginning of the video. So i guess there could be a chance that is the light that he did not stop at. Hard to say. Regardless, the guy posted the "crooked cop hi def" video to show a respectful Georgia State Trooper getting mocked by a guy whos wife obviously runs like a step child. Just my observation.

EDIT: And I would like to think the other police officer in the unmarked black ford explorer got a stop on the jeep. The trooper and other officer were staged door to door at that intersection watching for someone or something. Maybe it was one of those two guys or maybe that is a high incident area with those two light so close together.

So you're saying her questions about the camera and intersection illustated 'attitude' that would tip the scale causing you to write a ticket?

nope, not what I am saying. My point is, I'm saying people do stuff like that to get attention. like making faces at the teacher while she's writing on the chalkboard so they can get a laugh out of their adolescent friends. If I were that officer and I would have given a warning and sent them on their merry way shrugging off their condescending attitude as northerners or floridians or east-coasters or whatever they are and went back my donuts and coffee. Had I been that officer and heard the comments and conversation and the representation of "crooked cop" I may have had a different outcome in mind.

I was a cop for 18 years and in that time when I made a traffic stop I pretty much knew when I turned on the lights whether or not I was going to write a ticket or give a warning. It often depended on the severity of the infraction or crime.

Frequently, the "warning stop" became a ticket stop when the driver talked me into writing him/her a ticket because of their attitude.

Cops make mistakes. Be nice. This being on tape (and with the red light camera's these days) you can basically show the error in court. And if your nice to the police and the judge, the good karma will follow you.

I got stopped recently for "speeding" trying to beat a light. Being asked for insurance, I was fumbling around with my app and password trying to get it to come up. I was nice, pleasant, and new to the area. He gave me a warning. But then he made his snide comment as he handed me the printout. I bit my tongue but let him "have it" while I drove to my destination.

Good video, and I hope you don't take it down.....

I defend officers left, right, up and down....I go out of my way to say hello when they are walking by or wave....But, based on this video and some comments here I'm deeply troubled...

The video clearly shows an illegal and dangerous move by the Jeep, but somehow this gets overlooked. Further, this guy clearly didn't go through the "red light right before passing this officer"....There is no justification for the officers actions.

Further, I don't think anything that was said was for the benefit of "Youtube". I think the two were nervous and didn't even know why they were being pulled over. I think the woman was calm and concerned about the weapon and wanted to know if it was there in case it became an issue...

Please let us know how this turns out.

What appears to be a cop car pulling into traffic on the right, might not be "thee" cop car. cop poster might have a point about the infraction happening before the video started.

Wish I got the “warning stop”. The few times I’ve been stopped I was as polite as could be. Still got a ticket. From the interactions I believe there was no opportunity for a “warning”.

I have no idea what good Karma is... I am always respectful and nice and I never ever get a warning for speeding. They must look me up and say this guy has a problem let's make it a bigger problem :)
