So, I'm freaking out!!!!!

I have been trapped in my office doing homework all day looking out my window and knowing that it is a beautiful spring day and the boat should be in the water. Between work and school I haven't been to the boat in over a month and of course have been out of the water before last October.

Having a freakout...

So I have devised a plan in if all goes well I will be in the water a week from Monday!!!

When do the rest of you hope to have splash down?

I have a splash date of May 3. I just took my shrink wrap of today and put my canvas up. Let the games begin. I just hope the wether cooperates the next few weekends.

Next weekend or the following weekend depending on weather. The bottom is painted and the hull has been cleaned with buff magic. Will get a coat of Starbrite Polish on tomorrow and apply another coat or two the following weekend.

The weather sucked today, was supposed to be 58 and sunny. Don't think it got much over 50 and was windy.

I can't raise my arms, my shoulders are toast, and my ankles are killing me. Waiting for the 800mg of Advil to kick in.

spent today working on outdrive, sanding, painting, new anodes, lube....Tomarrow flush water lines, engine fluids and filters. In the water next weekend.
would like to get a coat of wax on it too. Still gets dark a little to soon.

April 20th if the ice is melted!

My baby is due on the 25th so I was hoping to get the boat in the water before the "water broke" : )

I went in today. All I need now is some time to polish the topside and setup the canvas.

He is a clip of the launch.

2 Weeks... weather permitting!

Week of the 22nd for me Jason. I'm off this week to Buff Magic the hull and wax. New batteries are in the garage that need to go in. Canvas is going up so I can 303 it. Hopefully some good weather all week.

This has been the longest winter of my boating life!

Well we're enjoying the most perfect of boating weekends possible here is South Australia, temps in high 20s centigrade, no wind, gentle tides and water like *glass*

I however am writing a final paper for a masters course with Preparation having been on the hard for 4 weeks.... Damn shipping times from the US to Oz!

That part was however successfully fitted Friday but now we're after a Uni joint replacement whilst we're up.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to all the pics from the start of your season almost as much as you today ;)

Splashed yesterday and typing this from the bed in my MSR right now!

I'm floating right now. Went in on the 4th. Been through the harbor mouth on two different boats already in New Buffalo and had no issues. Summer is waiting!

Jason, what does "splash date" mean?

Curious minds want to know.....

Just kidding. I know how anxious we all get when it's time to get our baby's bottom wet. I wish all of you a great summer boating season.

Boat is ready, overhauled fuel pumps just came in from Caterpillar, so we are going to put them back this week, then any day will be good for splashing!!! :smt038

There was snow on the dock yesterday and the forecast isn't the best for the marina opening this Friday. I'll be in the last weekend in April. That will give the early birds and marina staff a couple weeks to find all the stuff they should have repaired over the winter but didn't.

Splashed yesterday. Spent the day practicing docking the new boat, and then towed a delinquent boat from my new slip to my old slip for the slip owner. Nothing like jumping in with both feet learning how to handle the twins on the first day!
