Exotic Car

You look dressed for cold weather Pietro. No leaves on the trees, so it must be your winter there. Do you have snow tires on that canary yellow ride of yours?

Yes, that's winter over here! Usually we do not have snow at my latitude, only once in 10/15 years or so... So no snow tires..

I really like the look of the new Jaguar F-Type R too. Too much of a price bargain to be considered an exotic though. I think there are 2 or 3 in our downtown office parking garage.

But.... the F-Type "Project 7" looks interesting and might have enough exclusivity if that is what you are looking for:

Gator, you have quite a few different types of cars that you specifically mentioned. What are you looking to do with the car? Are you looking for a performance car that you occasionally drive? A nice car you can use on a regular basis? Or do you want something that your neighbors don't have? I spend enough time around all types of cars from modest $50k sports cars all the way up to $1M hypercars and can give you good options if you tell us what your budget and expected use will be.

Gator - I have your dilemma solved. At the Vancouver boat show today, all you need to do is buy this brand new 510 Sundancer and they will throw in a Ferrari California T for free (the admiral did not go for it even after I got her in the picture)

Not an "exotic" per se, but I have a lot of fun with it. Took a bone stock C6 and essentially had everything rebuilt on it for the sole purpose of driving the twisty's in the Rockies. Put's down 612 rwp normally aspirated with a fully built suspension and essentially everything else re-worked. She hugs turns like no buddies business.

Oh ya, I'll second who ever earlier said a 2015 Z06. No better bang for the buck on four wheels.....

This isn't an exotic, but it sure is a wolf in sheep's clothing - I took a new Audi RS7 for a test drive on Saturday. 560HP (10 more than an R8 Plus) and with a little chip work, easily add another 100hp plus. Check out https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NYuMKyFRlsU

I'm thinking about (probably am) getting rid of my fun car (a highly tuned S5 cab) and daily ride (Q7) and just having fun all the time...

You guys put way to much thought into all of this. I had a boss that had a garage full of everything from 69 Shelby 500'S yes two originals, a Diablo, 2 Ferraris a viper and a Porsche 911 ruff edition imported from Austria. Every year he would pick 4 and bring them to the track and literally abuse every one of them. I would also get. Couple laps in each. Now although each and every one were very fun to drive all but two put a smile on my face. The viper was amazing. A true muscle car 98v10 pure brute force power with none of the traction or stabila crap computers just a strong car with great hAndling that didn't want to stop. Now the 911 ruff edition. Just sitting down and starting the motor gave me butterflies with a smile from ear to ear. All I heard was the owner saying enjoy her. So I did, brought the rpms up waited for boost to kick in and dumped the clutch. Holy crap glue to my seat and still smiling. Looked down half way around lap one and I was in 5th cruising at 180 like I was doing 60. Just pure amazement..Well anyway asking other people what they think and what's a good investment is not the way to buy an exotic. My thoughts would be to go around and personally look touch and feel all the cars your interested in maybe even test drive then if your he owner allows. (Usually need proof of funds to pay incase you totL it) and the one that u sit in and gives you that smile and butter is the one for you! Happy hunting

Shows the mark up on new boat prices since they can afford to throw in a Ferrari.....crazy in my opinion. Paul the RS7 is a gorgeous car that most do not realize is a powerful machine!
