Just agreed to purchase a 1999 210 sundeck today. Will pick her up Saturday.

I have been boating about 5 years now, and have been struggling to keep a 1973 tri-hull floating. The amount of crap I have fixed is extensive :wow:, but the good part is my family loves boating now and was willing to upgrade. :smt038

We (I) love water sports and we (she) also likes fishing. Good thing the carpet is snap out!:smt100.

Anyways, hello to all. Happy boating...

Thanks.

So, my for sale add will read something like this:

1973 tri-hull, 302 Ford Mercruiser, newer floor (marine plywood and 5 gallons of fiberglass resin), carpet, gimbal ring, gimbal bearing, bellows, carb kit, stainless prop, full camper enclosure, float switch bilge. Trailer has new bearings, tires, brakes, bearing buddies. Outdirive leaks some oil and the fiberglass...

Make me an offer...

what an upgrade, I can't wait...

Welcome aboard.

Aqua*Holic, Take your previous boat to your outer 30 acres bring a gallon of gas and a Bic!!!!:lol::lol::lol:

Drug the Sundeck home this weekend. I will get a pic or two up soon.

Had to give myself a crash course in draining the water, as she moved from Phoenix to New Mexico at an elevation of about 6,500 ft. I found 5 drain points (2 on the block, one per manifold, and one on the water pump elbow) and filled it with marine antifreeze. Then dropped the drive down when stored in the yard. Hopefully I got it all because the low on Wednesday night is supposed to be 5 below zero!

Bugsy, that isn't a bad idea.

Aquaholic, congratulations on the new boat. One suggestion I'll make is for you and your wife (and maybe the kids too) to take a safe boating course. I don't know if New Mexico requires it yet, but most states do. It's a good way to learn many of the fine points of boat operation, and it's a good way to pick the brains of other boaters who will be in the class.

Can't wait to see some pics of your new baby!

New Mexico requires boating safety classes for any driver born after 1989. I am a 73 model so it wan't required for me. I have asked before and been told it is a solid 2 day course, 8 hours each!!

I mentioned I have been boating for 5 years, well, I have owned my own boat for 5 years. I have been around boats off and on for over 20 years. I am sure there is good information in that class, but I would bet the information I don't know yet could be done in just a few hours, instead of 16.

My daughter is 12 now, so when she starts pushing to let her drive the boat we will probably go and take the class together.
