Everyone enjoying the ride?

Alphabet’s Verily launches its California COVID-19 test screening site in a limited pilot.

Exactly as I posted. Site went live Monday morning for the BAY AREA ONLY

????? These paragraphs are from the same link you posted earlier. It sounds like two different things/purposes.

Helping people find useful information
We’re partnering with the U.S. government in developing a website dedicated to COVID-19 education, prevention, and local resources nationwide. This includes best practices on prevention, links to authoritative information from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and helpful tips and tools from Google for individuals, teachers and businesses. We’ll be rolling out an initial version of the website late Monday, March 16, and we’ll continue to enhance and update it with more resources on an ongoing basis.

Advancing health research and science
Alphabet’s Verily, which is focused on health and life sciences, is working in collaboration with California state, local and federal health authorities to help establish testing sites in the San Francisco Bay Area, and on an online tool to increase risk screening and testing for people at high risk of COVID-19. Californians will be able to take an online COVID-19 screener survey through Verily’s Project Baseline, and those who meet eligibility and requirements for testing will be directed to mobile testing sites based on capacity. While Verily is in the early stages of this pilot program, the plan is to expand to other locations over time.

This link verifies there are two different projects being worked on. https://techcrunch.com/2020/03/14/w...ening-site-will-roll-out-monday-for-bay-area/

The official Twitter account of Google’s communications department also posted the following statement tonight. In it, Google says it is “partnering with the U.S. government in developing a nationwide website that includes information about COVID-19 symptoms, risk and testing information.” This is not, however, the screening site that Verily is working on, Google stresses.

Stop it. He lied.

....anyway, I thought this was Obama's economy? Is it not anymore?

Yes Trump over-exaggerated again  Even had the wrong company.
As I heard someone say....If Trump personally sucked the virus out of each set of sick lungs, dove to the bottom of the Marianas Trench and exhaled, there would be complaints that he polluted the ocean.

Spoken as a true HUTA. Trump creates the majority of his problems with his mouth. He over exaggerate things and repeats it over and over so his faithful will repeat it. Why his faithful keep trying to support him when he says these "exaggerated" statements is puzzling. He stated the US has a handle on the virus and to relax. I get telling people to relax we are working on the problem and it will pass but the truth is we don't have a handle on the virus. After Trump misled us the Surgeon General the VP and the rest of the panel painted a far different picture and each said the virus has not peaked and it will get worse before we have a handle on it.

As I said one positive that Trump is doing is a daily press conference. This eliminates all reporting by the press the viewer gets to hear it directly with no commentator saying well the President said this but he ment this which is far to common on Fox and CNN.

Here's a good example of BS, of negativity, of journalistic malfeasance. You'd think they'd ease up given the situation in this country but they don't. The cabal's 'get Trump' vendetta continues with no regard for the damage to the innocent bystanders. Listen to this, the first 4 minutes are anti-Trump garbage, the last part is accurate/realistic and 180 degrees opposite to the first.

.....and this is broadcast over the air. :( China appreciates the 'Blame Trump' and TDS crowd, when all he and his administration are trying to do is help contain this thing.

Instead we have a congress and the media hoping this President fails at 'all costs' by pushing panic and a negative agenda. Even Tom Cotton, who I like, is stepping into the mix. It's apparently clear who the party majority is pushing this negativity. Damn the US citizenry! Anything to score political hits. (been the story daily for almost 4 years)

Hell, Trump was discussing this virus, and trying to shut down flights from countries, when Democrats had their collective heads up their asses "lying" about a Trump phone call with Zelensky and the fake impeachment hearings.
Not only that, Democrats went "ape" when Trump shut down flights from Europe last week.

SO WHAT DO YOU PROPOSE LIBERALS? Again, Democrats and TDS'ers alike can't have it both ways. So Trump is "damned if you do, damned if you don't".

I don't remember any of this during the H1N1, which I contracted. I never blamed Obama because it's the friggin' flu.
Pathetic......

Well he just said this is going thru July/August. Is he lying now? I hope so, cause we're fk'd.

Anybody wish they went against conventional wisdom and cashed out when the Dow hit 24000?.
Who can make any sense of this crazy panic selling for F sake!!!

If you listen to his speech on Friday he said the website would be live on Sunday or Monday total fabrication on his part. They knew nothing about this.
Trump was much more somber today good for him.
Why do you think each country is taking this so seriously and taking the precautions that they are. This is not a 1 month thing and it's gone not by a long shot.
The people that think this is just the flu are very wrong about this virus.

as "the people" you're referring , allow me to clarify, like H1N1, it transmits like the flu.

Yes , wish I would have. However I am optimistic it will come back in 18 months. Currently it’s only on paper.

Same shit was in the Washington Post...

'Trump had whacked a beehive of angst earlier Monday when he convened a conference call with the nation’s governors. He told them that the states should not rely on the federal government to provide respirators, ventilators and other equipment to aid the infected, and that states should work on obtaining their own.'

Rhetoric like that is dangerous and insights panic. I wonder how many people heard that yesterday and now are convinced the Feds are doing nothing?

Exactly. Same crap near everywhere to the point last night I was thinking, how do we punish them, what's the deterrent? I can be critical of Trump too, he is not a good speaker and it hurts him. That makes it easier for the media to twist and turn things as they team up in their work toward his political assassination....Trump lies, Trump lied 89,321 times....(I don't know their actual number so I made one up)

I swear, on Trumps last day, whenever that is, he should call a news conference. He should take a swing at Jim Acosta, knock him on his ass, put a MAGA hat on Acosta's unconscious head, do the Obama mic drop and walk out mumbling fuck you fake news. I'd bail him out of jail if he needs it.:D

I think potus briefing went very well today.
He did address the BS from yesterday.

As I've mentioned before, I never caucused for the guy. I caucused for Ted Cruz. Trump seemed abrasive and I wasn't sure where he'd stand as a conservative. However I find myself defending the guy when people are spouting Fake News or just using plain old incorrect information, and not understanding what they've posted. Much like in the impeachment hearing thread......and when you try and debate the truth, you're called a Trumper, or whatever.

For instance, my daughters friends parents were having a conversation last night saying that Trump has been taken out of the loop with this coronavirus thing, and that it's a good thing. Of course with all the vitriol (they're liberals) Not sure what fake news channel they heard that from, but I reminded my daughter that Mike Pence is heading up the coronavirus task force, so that couldn't be further from the truth.

I am critical of Trump as well. It's important to be. The critical issues in my opinion is the spending, that needs to stop. Like the dumb trillion dollar "BIPARTISAN" omnibus bills. We need to reduce spending, Now....
