We recently acquired a 97 Sundancer 270. In sound condition, but but kind of tired looking, in-and-out. The price was right and it is more boat than we thought we could afford, after being out of our Wellcraft Eclipse 250 for too long. Cockpit seating polished up very nicely but the back bench needed reupholstering. Now, topsides are sparkling, everything clean.

The cabin surfaces cleaned up to look like new but the upholstery was in awful shape. Florene (my beloved spouse) has been decorating for many a year, and could not resist taking on this chore - on a very tight budget. She selected a marine fabric that was out of production and all but impossible to find. I gathered up enough pieces from four different Joann stores to make the 22 yards I estimated. End runs, on sale, Cheap.

A semi retired upholsterer in our neighborhood enthusiastically took on the work and did a beautiful job.

Anyway, everything is redone, including the aft sleeping compartment. The whole thing came in at around $2,500... I think we 'done-good.'

Thoughts?
