So, As some of you know I am unemployed at the moment... (don't worry I start the new job Monday)... I have been a boat bum this week. I was chilling out at the end of the channel and to my surprise I see a blue glimmer of perfection coming around the corner!

I must say, I love the classic lines of this beauty!!!

So being a self proclaimed "Boat Whore" I had to stalk this thing and find out more...

The boat is being made by Tiara in Michigan. I'm sure I drooled on it a little bit but Man this thing is a beauty. I don't know if I have ever had the urge to make love TO a boat before today. The lines and curves flow so nice and the fit and finish is there. What do you guys think

Here's a little video of the Zeelander as well...

As you can tell I am a kid in a candy store just being able to spend time on the boat!!!

My bro in law is a supervisor for Tiara in Holland, MI. They make gorgeous, and expensive higher end boats. That is where the teak and holly floor in my boat came from. The supervisors get first crack at scraps.

Interesting lines. I saw one in Sausalito last year but didn't get all tourist on it. Nice performer it seems...

Very nice looking boat. Love the rumble seat type deal for the swim platform, and the way the cleats match the railing.

Is it just me or it looks a little disproportioned?

Hull line too high, cabin a little too forward, euro-look portholes out of place… ok this is just nitpicking over a beautiful boat, but to me a San Juan 48 look much more elegant.

This wouldn't be a New Zeelander would it ? Seriously though, nice boat with some classic old lines.

Great looking boat. Everywhere you look it screams quality and attention to detail.

Nice looking sedan ...pricey I'd bet

Naaa, This one is affordable at 1.3M if you add the sea keeper gyro it bumps it up to 1.5M... Come on Jim If we both sell some internal organs on the black market we can do a time share?

to get my 750k ....I would be empty...I probably don't have any that anyone would want

S2 did not build the first run of Zeelander's. They signed a deal with the builder recently to now build them at the plant in Holland, Michigan.

I'm with Pietro. IMHO a boat, like a beautiful woman, a fine car or a great wine, is something that makes you smile just thinking about it and makes your heart beat a little faster when you're thinking about going on board.

That boat just doesn't do it for me. Pietro nailed it with his comment about being out of proportion. I have no doubt it's beautifully built, but in terms of being useful/practical, in my eyes it's a very expensive day cruiser for those who just want to take their friends out for an afternoon. I'm sure it suits that need very well.

I got a very extensive tour of one with the gold hull color at the Palm Beach Intl' Boat show this March. I found it to be more of an exercise in style and design than a real usable boat. Just getting on and off was a chore honestly, no transom doors. The below decks space was small for a 44 footer, with the master being a not so comfy looking v berth forward.

I could only see the utility of this boat if you had a 200 plus footer to use her as a tender for. As a first or primary boat, there are 100 boats for half the money that are 10 times as usable.

It is drop dead gorgeous though. But at some point you need more than gorgeous to live with, right?
