Are there any rules of thumb regarding estimating fuel usage? I know there are a lot of variables involved in estimating fuel usage - wave direction, wind direction, currents, ect, but wondered if I could get a ballpark estimate of what to expect in a steady cruise state. The boat is a 1990 220 CC with a 5.7 Merc with Alpha. 3000 rpm gives around 26mph. If I ran an hour at 3000 rpm, any estimate of how much fuel would be used?
