Erratic Depth Readings

I've notice very erratic depth readings with the Smartcraft system. Seems worse at low and idle speeds but also when on plane. Our previous boat 260 wasn't this bad, not sure if this "normal" for the 38 with V drives. Anyone else see this?

I have had this happen a couple of times on my 06 Amberjack 290 with the L760 GPS and Fishfinder on it.

It only happened while while planing in relatively shallow water 4-5 feet under the keel.

If you follow other boaters, or cross their paths, the bubbles can change the depth readings considerably.

Does it lock on to a depth while tied into your slip?

Any chance you have some marine growth on the face of your transducer?
