Erie to Delaware summer 2023

We are interested in planning a trip from Erie, through Welland Locks and out to sea ending at Delaware Bay. Does anyone out there have any advice? Any special stops we should be sure to experience? What are the dangers/challenges we will face? We have a 1985 Sundancer. We are dedicating this winter to go over every inch of the boat and be sure she is in tip top condition. I have a feeling we have a lot of work ahead of us and need some motivation...LOL
