Engines getting sluggish

I have a 45express bridge 900hours 2002 with Cummins 6CTA 8.3 engines,
the engines are getting slow out of the hole especially the port side until 1500-1600 rpms when turbos kick in, what would be likely cause?
Regular services are done just completed yearly service.

Have you had the aftercoolers cleaned and serviced? What does regular service consist of?

Are the engines being serviced by a qualified Cummins mechanic. I know 2 Sea Ray owners that have 900-1000 hour Cummins that were having performance issues. One finally found a mechanic that was a former Cummins mechanic now independent. 2 days labor and $2500 later the engines run like new. The other guy is pretty cheap and still has problems. Ya gotta pay to play. I love my 454's. I can fix with my eyes blindfolded. :smt101

My Mechanic is a cummins tech, aftercooloers were seviced and flushed, all filters, racors, impellars replaced as needed.
