Engine Soleniods- On or off for winter storage if hooked up to shore power?

My marina tech tells me to turn them off, wont that not allow them to maintain a charge if its in the water, winterized and still connected to shore power (the batter charger)..

The solenoids de-power the DC systems. If you keep the converter CB ON on the AC panel, your batt charger will work. I turn off my solenoids when I leave the boat so my hatch lift is unpowered. I leave four AC CBs ON: A/C, Outlets, Refrigerator, and Converter.
