engine running rough

Have a 1988 sedan bridge 305 with twin 350's. last week had a problem with starboard enginge running rough, almost like water in fuel. Drained the filters and found no signs of water. Poured some methyl hydrate into the tanks, took the boat out for a run and ran great. Today, stbd engine was doing the same thing at the dock. Don't understand why one weekend I had it running great, next weekend runs like crap!! I got frustrated and closed the hatches, will start again tomorrow to figure it out. Was wondering if anyone has an idea to put me in the right direction?? If I can't figure it out tomorrow, will call in the mechanic.

Unfortunately, with the only criteria as "runs rough", there really isn't enough info to give any accurate help. You could do just as good - or better - by searching through posts (start by using the "title only" search) of similar nature.

If you're really at your wit's end, my suggestion would be to not even start in again tomorrow. You're just going to end up wasting your Sunday and be no further along. Give your guy a call Monday morning.
