Dear Forum,
I need some help. I have a 97 Searay 200 SBC 5.7L and changed my coupler. The replacement coupler came with 3 new bolts & 3 Triangle plates and no spring washers.
So I took the old washers and assembled them. The new bolts had a type of washer integrated but it was not a spring type like the OEM Style.
After I had everything assembled I did a impeller change and an Z drive to Engine alignment.
Can it be that the 1.5mm height increase on the spring washer is rubbing on the bell housing and casing noise.
Who can help and who can check for me how much clearance I have between bolt head and bell housing
I have a Mercruiser Alpha one Gen 2 drive.
Thank you folks so much if you can help here. Attache some pictures.
Look like I cannot upload pictures
I will try again.
Regards Bob
