I have a 1995 215 EC with a Merc 5.0LX. What kind of performance upgrades are available for this engine to get a little more horsepower without braking the bank. I was thinking maybe airflow or ignition.
I am running an SS prop 14 x 19 which is what is recommended from Sea Ray. I cruise at 28mph to 30mph at 3000rpm depending on the load. Since it has a cuddy when I have 4 or more in the boat it takes a little longer to get on plane, so I am looking to gain a little more power.
