I started my boat today and noticed two alarms on the smart craft.

The first was steer ckt lo on the starboard motor and the second was sea temp ckt hi on the port motor.

What might those mean? I did not take the boat out of the slip but I let it warm up to temp and did not notice anything strange. There was no constant beeping and both motors temps were at normal levels.

I did some searching and it seems as if the steer ckt lo might be about rudder position angles? I am assuming that is more about the actual reading of the angle and not that the rudders aren't going to be able to turn?

Also, is the sea temp ckt in reference to the display of the actual body of water temperature and nothing involving any water temp issues for the motors?

Awaiting an answer on this..... I don't see rudder position on my smartcraft but this is my first boat with the system

You probably do not have these sensors on your boat. you will need to have a tech with a computer to turn them off or if you have vessel veiw mobile you can delete them in the app.

Hummmm….

Ok. Ive only had the boat for one season. I never noticed a sea water temperature anywhere before and my rudder angle position indicator on my vessel view never worked so youre probably right that I do not have these sensors. I never noticed these alarms last year though which is why I thought it weird upon starting the boat up for the first time this year. Although, maybe they were cleared by the previous owner which is why I never noticed the alarms and now that I put all new batteries in this year maybe thats why the alarms came up again?

I would say when you removed old batteries and installed new it picked the faults back up.
