I plan to take our 240 out to the Channel Islands off the Calif coast, no more than 30 to 40 miles out, for snorkling/diving/fishing. What would be a good GPS and VHF radio to install? Also where is the ideal place for the installation of both. I've spent lot's of time out there but always on someone else's boat so I want to err on the side of caution. I also need a GPS that is as user friendly as possible.
