electric choke or remote(divorced choke)350ci

I have a newly rebuilt 4 bl carb on one of my 1985 30ft weekender. The carb is great, but runs rich for too long and smokes the exhaust outlet unless i run it at 2,000 rpm for anout 5 minutes. Would an electric choke help? It is now a remote.:smt100

you probably need to replace the heat stove on the intake.Also check the vacuum pull off on the carb.
that opens the choke out half when started.it should be fixable either way.
