Hi
Cant find any info on what the ELECT switch does on the helm station switch panel on my 44 Sedan Bridge?
It’s a standard Carling switch with light.
Cheers

Do you have the original owners manual with the comprehensive wiring diagrams? If you can find the switch on the diagram, you can follow the wires and find out what it operates. Sounds like it might be a master switch for the electronics power on the helm. I don't remember having that switch on my panel but I am sure several 44 DB guys will chime in too. Welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard! On our 44DB the ELECT toggle powers the depth finder/ sonar system. It's next to the auto-pilot power switch. It originally powered the SeaRay Navigator that the previous owner replaced with another Ray E120. I suspect there is some variation from vessel to vessel with that switch.

Cheers guys...
Looks like some good old fashioned electrical investigation works coming up then. I'll keep you posted.

I have the same and have no clue what it controls. On or off everything still works.

On the same year 40 DA the "Elect" switch controls the power to the Sea Ray Navigator and GPS. Most have gotten rid of the Navigator and rewired that switch to power all of Navigation electronics. But the PO may have rewired it already to suit their purpose.
